Event Technology Firm eventcore Secures $4 Million to Expand Growth
Eventcore, a provider of enterprise-level event registration and technology solutions, recently completed a $4.1 million growth capital financing initiative. The funding will be used to accelerate sales and marketing and enhance product development to better serve the corporate events industry.
The Seattle-based company was founded in the mid-1980s. It provides customized technical solutions and professional services for event registration, housing, content management and attendee engagement.
With this investment, eventcore plans to upgrade many of its internal systems and unveil several new customer-facing features.
“Our team is very proud of all that we’ve accomplished, and we are just getting started,” said eventcore CTO Adrien Petersen.
Eventcore has managed events ranging in size from 25 to more than 35,000 attendees. Corporate clients include Autodesk, eBay, Johnson & Johnson, Nokia, RedHat, and Microsoft.
The company believes that its combination of unsurpassed industry experience, agile data storage and reporting, and project management expertise has enabled them to consistently deliver successful, world class event technology to enterprise organizations across the globe.
“Over the last several years, our industry has become increasingly sophisticated,” said Mark Johnson, CEO of eventcore.
He continued, “Our customers want more from event technology: more real-time information, more attendee and presenter tech tools, and more third-party integrations. This partnership with our new investor group will allow us to expedite the release of these items, improving the customer experience overall.”
Lara Garrett, owner and event manager, Garrett Consulting Services Inc. has used eventcore products for a Fortune 500 technology company’s informational briefing event, annual presence at the Electronic Entertainment (E3) Expo in Los Angeles, CA, and other standalone events.
“Eventcore is fantastic to work with in so many ways,” said Garrett. She cited the company’s customer service and fast response time as one of the driving factors.
“All our contacts have been great at helping guide us to build our sites with the best possible features necessary. When we are trying to figure out if we can do a certain feature on the website, they always have a solution. They are extremely professional to work with and help keep us on track with the deliverables we owe them for a site so that we in turn will meet our planned live date,” she added.
Garrett, who has worked in the event industry for 20 years, said that for the past several years eventcore has been and will continue to be her number one go-to for event needs.
Multi-asset investment firm East Seattle Partners led the funding round. Nick Zabriskie, a partner at East Seattle Partners, will join eventcore’s board of directors.
Johnson stated that the partnership with East Seattle Partners will allow eventcore to expedite the release of customized, enterprise-level products that will improve the customer experience.
“Companies are no longer satisfied with inflexible out-of-the-box products that limit their event capabilities, and they shouldn’t have to settle,” he said.
In addition to product enhancements, developing a national sales and marketing presence is a key focus. Eventcore is broadening its geographic reach to be able to more readily offer its services to companies across the United States.
