Since the Sphere opened in Las Vegas in September 2023, the experiential venue has played host to A-listers like U2, Dead & Company, John Mayer, and Bobby Weir. Marriott International is bringing three luxury properties in the U.S. under its umbrella. The hotel giant has signed on high-end properties in New York City, California, and Hawaii, adding 1,340 rooms in the luxury space. After leading New York City’s Javits Center for 12 years, Alan Steel will step down as president and CEO at the end of March 2025. A search for his replacement is already underway, according to the New York Convention Center Operating Corp.
