Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, a prime leaf-peeping destination in the South, this hotel has 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a venue that opens to a terrace on the fourth floor. Attendees may want to add on a few days before or after a meeting to drive through the Blue Ridge Mountains, which reaches peak color in late October/early November.

Hotel Bethlehem

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

Discover Lehigh Valley is one of the best leaf-peeping meetings destinations in the Northeast, and a great point to take in the fall foliage is from this historic hotel, which is situated on the site where the town was founded in 1741. It has 10 meeting rooms, 14,000 square feet of meeting space and a new executive conference center, which adds an additional 5,000 square feet of space.

It has 20,000 square feet of event space, including 12 event rooms and 10 breakout rooms, in addition to a spa and beautiful golf course. Equinox Resort

Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square

Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Less than three hours from New York and an hour from Philadelphia via train, this 416-room hotel just completed a nearly $40 million renovation this summer. Chilly autumn days can be complemented by meeting break options such as a hot chocolate bar, and you can observe the foliage from atop the new rooftop bar. Within the hotel is the Lancaster County Convention Center; together they offer a combined 90,000 square feet of event space.

Cliff House Maine

Ogunquit, Maine

Now open year round, this classic New England property has 226 guest rooms and 25,00 square feet of event space along the Atlantic Ocean. The gorgeous Atlantic Ballroom features panoramic views of the sea, and the property’s signature restaurant, The Tiller, is an excellent spot for hosting a dinner. Nubb’s Lobster Shack, also on-site, is a must for a lunchtime meeting.

Nakoma Resort

Clio, California

The changing leaves of quaking aspen, alder and cottonwood trees in northern California make for a picturesque backdrop for meetings at Nakoma Resort. Though it’s hard to resist spending all your time exploring the surrounding trails, lakes and alpine peaks, this luxury property has several small event spaces good for intimate groups.

Nakoma

Weekapaug Inn

Westerly, Rhode Island

Perfect for smaller groups of leaf peepers, especially corporate retreats, this coastal resort has about 2,500 square feet of indoor meeting space and 3,600 square feet outdoors. Try a walking meeting while getting outside to explore hiking trails, tide pools and nearly empty beaches.

You might not expect to go leaf peeping in Oregon, but fall weather is mild and nearly perfect in Bend, Oregon, where Pronghorn Resort is located. Its newly renovated Chanterelle Room holds up to 120 classroom style or 220 theater style, and planners can also utilize areas of the Clubhouse for events.  This summer, the new Huntington Lodge added 104 rooms to the resort, each with incredible views of the Cascade mountain range.
