The 19-story Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area, located just blocks from Minnesota’s Mayo Civic Convention Center and Mayo Clinic, opened its doors on Apr. 16.

Designed to reflect nature, with tile, stone and wood elements, each of the hotel’s 264 guest rooms features Cambria countertops with a custom-designed stone pattern. The focal point of the lobby is a giant master staircase with handcrafted wooden rails and granite stairs.

Guests can take advantage of the hotel’s 24-hour fitness center, heated indoor infinity pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room. For those who prefer outdoor activities, the Zumbro River’s running and bike paths are just steps away.

On-property dining options include Benedict’s for breakfast and lunch, Pittsburgh Blue Steakhouse for dinner, and the grab-n-go Herb N’ Kitchen.

Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area’s 20,000 square feet of meeting and convention space contains two halls, named after doctors Mayo and Noseworthy, and three breakout rooms named in honor of Franciscan Sisters associated with the Mayo Clinic’s St. Mary’s campus. Dr. John H. Noseworthy Hall can hold up to 800 guests reception-style or 370 with classroom seating, while Dr. William Worrall Mayo Hall’s capacity is 690 for a reception or 320 classroom-style.  

There is also a rooftop terrace that can be used for groups, named after Mother Mary Alfred Moes, the nun who founded St. Mary's Hospital in conjunction with Dr. William Worrall Mayo in the late 1800s.

For larger meetings, the Mayo Civic Convention Center is less than five minutes’ walk away. With nearly 200,000 square feet of multi-use space for conventions and events, the Mayo Civic Center is the largest event facility in Southern Minnesota. A 2017 expansion added a 40,000 sq. ft. ballroom, 14 rooms and pre-function spaces, nearly doubling the available space. The facility also includes an arena, auditorium and presentation hall, a 25,200 sq. ft. exhibit hall and an outdoor plaza that can be rented for groups.

Hilton Rochester Mayo Clinic Area is located eight miles from Rochester Municipal Airport (RST) and 78 miles from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).
